1 lime, cut into
wedges
Coarse or kosher salt
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lime concentrate
(or substitute 6oz
Margarita
Texas Mix)
3/4 cup tequila
6 tablespoons Triple Sec
1 (12 ounce) can lemon-lime or grapefruit soda
3 to 4 cup ice cubes
Lime twist for garnish
Lime peel for garnish
Rub rim of each
cocktail glass with lime wedge; swirl glass in salt to coat rim.
Combine half of each of the remaining ingredients, except
garnishes, in blender container; blend until ice is finely
chopped and mixture is slushy. Pour into salt-rimmed glasses.
Repeat with remaining ingredients. Garnish, if desired.

the recipe is pretty good but more like a punch- the soda is a little strange. stick to the house rita in any restaurant in albuquerque. is you can still spell the town after drinking a couple then they aren't so great. for the best restaurant margaritas in new mexico - go to la posta in old mesilla square - just outside las cruces. yummy. on the rocks baby - not frozen, shame on you jimmy buffett!

Where, in Albuquerque, did you have a margarita like this?? Don't worry, Darryl, some of the best margaritas can be found in Nuevo Mexico! Salud!

HA !!! I was looking at the ingredients and was making a note to NEVER order margaritas in Albuquerque. Thanks for clarifying that is not the official margarita of your town.
6 oz of Lime Concentrate and 12 oz of Soda --- yuk -- that's not a margarita, that's just plain lazy.

i second that. we drink them on the rocks with fresh lime juice, tequlia and simple sugar.
