Type of Margarita Tasted: House margarita on the rocks

Ingredients Listed on Menu: none

Review:  We wish we had ordered a premium tequila in this drink over the house tequila.  The house margarita had a nice balanced taste but the cheaper tequila brought down the quality.  Next time we are at Cazadores Mexican Restaurant we will be sure to enhance our experience with a finer tequila.

Our Rating:

Type of Margarita Tasted: Top Shelf Patron Margarita

Ingredients Listed on Menu: Patron Silver, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, lemon, lime and orange juice

Review: This margarita went down smooth as expected with most drinks made with Patron. The combination of lemon, lime and orange juices gave this beverage a taste that could be enjoyed by all. A little added sweetness would have made this drink top notch.

Our Rating:

Type of Margarita Tasted: House margarita, frozen and on the rocks, Patron margarita

Ingredients Listed on Menu: none

Review: We chose this restaurant because the website boasts their margarita as winning 2nd place in the Margarita and Salsa Festival in 2005. The Patron version was by far the superior margarita. The house margarita was smooth and had a favorable taste.

Our Rating:

Type of Margarita Tasted: Roadhouse Roadie Margarita, Gold Margarita on the rocks, Original margarita on the rocks, 1800 Margarita

Ingredients Listed on Menu: Roadhouse Roadie Margarita - tequila, triple sec, and sweet and sour mix poured over cranberry juice with Grand Marnier float, Gold Margarita - Sauza gold, gran gala, and sweet and sour mix, 1800 Margarita - 1800 Reposado and Grand Marnier

Review: We were able to sample several variations of the margaritas at Texas Roadhouse. Our favorites were the 1800 margarita and original margarita. The sweet and sour mix they use for their drinks is not too sweet and has a nice flavor. The only downside is that their margaritas had more of a mix taste. A little more tequila would have balanced out these drinks perfectly.

Type of Margarita Tasted: White lightning on the rocks with salt

Ingredients Listed on Menu: none

Review: As it's name suggests, the White Lightning margarita is made with a silver (blanco) tequila. This margarita is usually a favorite at Pappadeaux and Pappasito's. The silver tequila gives this drink a nice smooth taste that makes it easy to drink with any meal.

Type of Margarita Tasted: House margarita and Patron silver version on the rocks

Ingredients Listed on Menu: fresh lime juice and house tequila

Review: Everyone at our table thought the house margarita at Chuy's was a little on the sweet side. It had a favorable taste but the flavor that makes a great margarita was missing ... tequila. We tried the same margarita with Patron silver and were treated with a much tastier drink.
