The 2015 Texas Tequila & Margarita Festival was held this past weekend at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. One of the main events, the Margarita Grand Tasting, took place in their large convention center space which had restaurants, bars and individuals showcasing their concoctions. Margarita Texas participated for the second year and had a booth sampling out margarita made with Margarita Texas Mix.
We made two margaritas including a frozen margarita which is based off of the recipe on our margarita mix bottle and a pineapple habanero margarita. Both were well received and its always great to meet people who are already customers and also potential customers who have never tried Margarita Texas Mix. We had a few bottles left over at the end that went to some lucky visitors.
We always enjoy when an event we participate in raises money for charity. If you remember, we previously participated in the Candlelighters Margarita Taste-off which raises money for children with cancer. The Texas Tequila & Margarita Festival collected money during the event for Galveston Lemonade Day. This charities objective is to “empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow. Lemonade Day empowers today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs.”
We will be back at this event next year with a new margarita that we are already working on creating. If you missed either year, you definitely want to be there next time. Did you make it out and try one of our creations, please let us know in the comments below.
