Review: According to a recent poll that confirmed the margarita is the most popular cocktail in the US, Chilli’s customers are 7% more likely to try a margarita (67%) than the U.S. average (60%). This was not too surprising as it seems that the Presidente margarita, their signature drink, is consistently mentioned on social media and copy-cat recipes are all over the internet.
The cocktail is served to your table in a bright blue shaker branded with Chili’s and the name of the drink. Your margarita glass is on the small side so it feels like you are endlessly pouring from the shaker as you consume the tiny portions. The only issue is that the shaker contains ice so if you drink too slowly, the contents will start to water down (this hasn’t been a problem for us though). It’s a smooth drink that benefits from the fresh ingredients. The sweetness is on the low side which is a plus. Our drink was mixed to the perfect ratio so we were able to taste the tequila which can be a problem at some chain restaurants.
Overall, we enjoyed this drink. It was properly mixed and had all of the flavors we look for in a margarita. If you didn’t know Chili’s was known for this margarita, you probably would think we are lying when we recommended that you try one at their restaurant.
