6 oz blanco tequila
2 oz
triple sec
6 oz limeade concentrate (or
substitute 6oz
Margarita
Texas Mix)
2 cups ice
1 chopped avocado
6 oz water
Blend all ingredients in blender
until smooth.
We were surprised that the margarita
only had a mild avocado taste which
made it a better drink than
expected. It has a creamy feel
somewhat like the banana margarita.

I can't vouch for this recipe perse, but I had to at least speak up in defense of avocado margaritas. A restuarant here by the name of Curra's serves them and they are amazing! They're creamy, mild, and delicately balanced. A truly refreshing drink. If you haven't tried it, give it a go!

Are you sure?
Water in a margarita?
Concentrate of lemonade?
3 parts of tequila per 1 of triple sec?
I pass.

After using many traditional recipes for our neighborhood margarita competition (and always coming in near last), I managed a third-place finish with this recipe. Considering the competition, that's really saying a lot! Everyone liked it -- as long as they didn't know there was an avocado in it before they tried it! (They'll eat guacamole by the pound, but they won't drink an avocado -- turkeys!)
